Each unit has multiple physicians attached to it. Each unit is also chaired by a physician who is attached to the unit and may, potentially, be attached to other units as well. Each unit can be chaired by only one physician. For example, Dr. Kate McKinnon, the Chair of Cardiology, is attached to both General Medicine and Cardiology. However, a single physician cannot be chair of more than one unit.
