In the process of doing so, analyze the extant and predicted threats to the international and national security environments.

3. Assess how nation-states prepare for the next war or future conflict whether with nation-states or non-state actors. In the process doing so, evaluate the differences, as well as similarities, between wars and conflicts of the past, present and future

4. Assess the national security threat posed by trans-national criminal organizations. In the process of doing so, analyze the existing and predicted strategies to address the near- and long-term threats posed by trans-national criminal organizations.
